Topic: BTO BirdTrack Organiser - Thetford, Norfolk

BTO is looking for a BirdTrack Organiser (following Nick Moran's job change to BTO Training Manager).

BirdTrack is an online/mobile app system for collecting records from birdwatchers in the UK Ireland and globally. In the UK it is used by BTO and many bird clubs to collect bird records for distribution and migration. (Records are available to LERCs via bird clubs or now via NBN Atlas.) The main focuses are complete lists, which allow analysis to determine relative presence geographically and temporally; and on collecting general bird records, especially those with breeding evidence.

BirdTrack is also used outside the UK & Ireland, so the job requires someone with good global bird knowledge, as well as a track record as a bird recorder, good promotion/communication skills, good IT skills and excellent interpersonal skills. There is more info and an application form here:

Annual salary is £23,811 rising to £26,457 over two years. Annual leave entitlement on starting is 25 days
plus bank holidays. The postholder will qualify for life assurance (four times salary) and be automatically
enrolled in the BTO group personal pension scheme, benefitting from an 11% employer contribution.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 10am on Monday 19 June 2017.
It is anticipated that interviews will be held in Thetford, Norfolk, on Thursday 29 June 2017.
