Re: NBN Gateway Data Access Controls

Hello,
The plan for implementing the new system of Data Access Controls has now been announced on the NBN website and in eNews - here is a link to the announcement: http://www.nbn.org.uk/News/Latest-news/ … eview.aspx
You can download a list of the changes to the Access Controls, which also highlights how the original proposal has been modified in response to feedback during the two rounds of consultation.  There is also a link from the article to a prototype system with test data so you can try it out.  If you have any questions or suggestions about how the user interface could be improved, please post in the NBN forum on Data Access Controls http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewforum.php?id=36 or contact me directly on p.lightfoot(at)nbn.org.uk
Thanks
Paula

Re: NBN Gateway Data Access Controls

Hi
All dataset administrators should now have received an e-mail with information on how to transfer their datasets to the new system of data access controls.  In many cases, no action is needed.  However, some data providers might wish to change the public level of access or the level of enhanced access granted to certain individuals or organisations.  This can be done now using the existing dataset administration tools on the Gateway.
If you have any questions at all, please post in the access controls forum on the NBN Website http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewforum.php?id=36 or e-mail us on [email protected]
Thanks!
Paula
PS thanks very much to those who tried out the prototype user interface for the access controls system and gave us feedback on how to make it as user-friendly as possible
