Topic: How to display a secondary variable on Mapmate maps

Hi

I'm searching for a way of producing maps from Mapmate, which show variations within a species, eg two different colours of dots showing Pst 2005 and pre 2005 records.

Has anyone come up with a solution to this one?

Thanks

David

Re: How to display a secondary variable on Mapmate maps

Within your atlas, go to:
View -> Show Feature Detail
, then:
Edit -> Insert -> Data Object
The Insert Data Object Wizard has a fair few pre-defined options, but this does not cover pre/post 2005, so click 'Custom' and enter
Year >= 2005, and choose your precision, dot style and colour, and repeat for Year < 2005.

Within your feature list you may then want to turn off the 'All records' option.

David,

Ian Thirlwell has produced some handy animated instructions for setting up date bands on MapMate maps, if you send me your email address I'll forward it to you. See also the MapMate users egroup at:
